Pressing Notes

Who is God? Where is God? and God's World, Our World are two short programs prepared by Family Films and are part of a series of shorts under the title "Bippity Boppity Bunch". In the DiscoVision catalog, these programs were subtitled "Christian Values".

These programs are clearly aimed at very small children - consisting of hand puppets - and not very good ones either. These make the Muppets look highly sophisticated.

The audio and video transfer of these programs is pretty much standard fair for DiscoVision and the entire non-feature catalog. Taken from 16mm prints, the audio is what you would expect. Very low fidelity and slightly over modulated.

The disc is chapter encoded, but as was very typical with DiscoVision and their chapter encoding, the stops are offset by about 100 frames.

Some collectors have speculated that this is one of the rarest DiscoVision titles. While it is true that copies do not turn up that often, we have found at least 4 copies that have turned up in recent years. That being said, this would put Who is God? Where is God? somewhere behind The Guide, well behind Le Corbusier and certainly on no scale at all with Jacques Cousteau: The Singing Whale in terms of rarity.
